The two-level, top and bottom configuration of the current front end design has been modified to accentuate longitudinal flow. Relentless forward motion and SUV power are expressed here by forming the central section from the hood to the bottom edge of the bumper into a single three-dimensional mass.
The solidly built, boldly sculpted lower section of the bumper is given a dark color surface treatment, accentuating a stretched look out to the sides, for a wider appearance and new expression for an SUV.
While adding a character line in the upper section of the front fender, newly designed front and rear over fenders with a rearward-flowing character line express a look of powerful forward movement.
An integrated look is achieved with the smooth transition between body and bumper, which, together with the redesigned rear combination lamps and license plate garnish lends a clear-cut impression to the rear design. The bottom edge of the rear bumper adopts a deeply sculpted, three-dimensional form, expressing the sheer power of the SUV.
